Contributing

  • A wrong date, holiday or tithi: the hub’s data error form. One fix reaches every language.

  • A bug in one language: an issue in that port’s repository, linked from its page here.

  • A security problem: privately, as each repository’s SECURITY.md says, never in a public issue.

The behaviour is decided once, for every port. A change to how dates convert, format or parse, or to the data, starts as a pull request to the hub’s spec/ or data/, with the vectors updated and python spec/reference/verify_vectors.py passing. The ports follow from there.

Calendar data goes to NepDate first, then reaches the hub.

Each repository’s CONTRIBUTING.md has its build, its checks and how pull requests are reviewed. Every repository uses Conventional Commits and requires CI to pass before a merge.

The site is site/ in the hub: Astro with Starlight for these pages. Node 22.12 or later:

Terminal window
cd site
npm ci
npm run dev

npm run check type-checks the site and fails if a page types a version instead of importing it from src/data/ports.ts; npm run build also fails on a broken internal link. Each page has an “Edit page” link at the bottom.
